Picanto and Stinger Win at the What Car Awards
All-New Picanto wins overall Best City Car category
All-New Stinger celebrates sub-category win for Best Executive Car
The recent wins top a successful 2017 for the brand
Following on from a successful 2017 which saw over 93,200 models sold, and four new model launches, Kia has received yet more good news to celebrate – winning two awards at the 40th anniversary What Car? Awards, held in London.
Impressing the What Car? judges and winning ‘Best City Car’ was the All-New Kia Picanto, which is available at Todds of Campsie. Launched in April 2017, the third generation A-segment Picanto has huge appeal for customers with a bold new design both inside and out. The Picanto comes with a high level of safety features and cutting-edge in-car technology such as wireless smartphone charging.
Commenting on the win, What Car? Editor, Steve Huntingford said: “Knocking the Hyundai i10 off its perch in this class was never going to be easy, but Kia has managed it, creating a car that’s more spacious inside and better to drive.”
Since being officially unveiled in January 2017, the Kia Stinger has changed the brand perception of Kia to many and shown the world what it is capable of. It went on-sale at Todds of Campsie in January 2018 and feedback from consumers has been exceptional. Now cementing that good news for this ground-breaking product is another What Car? award win, with ‘Best Executive Car for more than £35,000’ for the Stinger.
Jonathan Todd, sales manager at Todds of Campsie commented: “We’re very pleased that both the Stinger and Picanto have been recognised at this year’s What Car? Awards. Both cars are currently available at Todds of Campsie and we welcome the people of L’Derry to the dealership to book in a test drive.”
